Trust - Charles Schwab

Focus on this engagement was related to coaching two
key programs within the US Trust's project
portfolio. Knowledge transfer on scenario-based
practices, the use of UML, and SCRUM-oriented project management were leveraged for accelerating delivery
performance within Charles River Compliance
project. SCRUM practices were also leveraged for
coaching a strategic Security Master program struggling
to deliver due to complexities related to distributed
teams, COTS acquisition and parallel business process
reengineering.

Fourth Medium Consulting, in partnership with Valtech
USA, delivered on the following service objectives:
- coach corporate Security Master and Investment
Management Systems programs in Lean and Agile
COTS-oriented practices;
- move the PMO beyond being the process
police; nudge Portfolio Management practices
towards outcome-orientation rather than
artifact-centricity; evangelized the notion
of decision-centric perspective of an IT Investment
portfolio over the existing perspective of success
within a defined process as being production
necessary waste - supporting work-products;
- leverage results-oriented cultural shift due to
M&A catalyst to effect accelerated or fast
change;
- introduce Scrum Project Management with path towards
Lean and Kanban for steady-state product
maintenance;
- Influence big corporate metrics program initiative
towards pragmatism, leveraging natural artifacts
rather than contrived data.
