Beyond
a Tacit Understanding of Agile: Understanding Lean
Adaptive Development
Abstract:
Anyone
who has lived an Agile project instinctively knows that
the approach works, and works well. But
understanding within the Agile community on why the
approach works is largely tacit. Two
bodies-of-knowledge that can explain Agile and take it
to the next level - PID Control Theory and Lean Thinking have yet to be fully explored.
Leveraging such established fields can not only
facilitate deeper understanding, but can instruct future
insights at an accelerated pace.
