Lean IT Enterprises - LITE

Course Overview:

In today’s business climate,  “more-for-less” is becoming as important if not more important than being “agile”.  Yet applying Lean Thinking as a means to achieve efficiency and effectiveness within IT has been slower than any other industry.  But the momentum is building, especially within software engineering.  The post-Agilism era and third generation of IT engineering represents a continuation of the themes of waste reduction and fast delivery advanced through the Agile movement.  But Lean promises to deliver business results far greater than Agile.  It has the potential to address the unsolved problems that are so prevalent within the Scrum/XP failure modes.  And Lean as a foundation for IT service delivery enables the integration of Business Alignment, Resource Optimization, Service Management and Governance concerns into a holistic value-stream.  This course is intended to position the participant to make a difference related to Lean IT  Transformation.

Learning Objectives:

  • Pragmatically understand Lean Thinking principles and practices

  • Integrate Lean into the Modern Software Engineering practice landscape

  • Apply Lean Principles and Practices to materially improve IT delivery

  • Configure your IT Value-streams to eliminate waste

  • Enact your IT Value-streams for enabling continuous improvement

  • Jumpstart the implementation of Lean in your organization

Intended Audience:

This course is designed for IT leaders looking for exponential improvements in their software and systems delivery value-streams
